I have just started research into my family history and this site represents my findings so far on the Blackmore line.
I am currently trying to expand the families of William Blackmore, William Hillman, Edward Frost and William Attaway.
The Family mystery is that my Blackmore family names are written in an old book called "Arctic Expeditions from British and Foreign shores from the earliest to the expedition of 1875" by D. Murray Smith, FRGS. Published by Thomas Lidell 1877.
I cannot link any of my family to any arctic expedition YET.
